Orleans is positioned in north-central France on the banks of the Loire River. It is the capital of the Loire region and is also known as La citéJohannine. The history and geographical features of the city are influenced by the tragedy of Joan of arc, who saved the city from the English siege in 1429.

Culture

The culture and history of Orleans date back to 2000 years old, which is why the city is considered so prestigious. There are some exceptional historical sites, chateaux, and architecture. You will find a lot of Renaissance architecture and the heritage of Joan of Arc. However, the city still has the right modern touch. You can easily connect to the modern world as the city offers all such amenities and opportunities. The city is situated in the heart of the Loire valley and is quite appealing for its innovation, economy, and dynamism.

Several associations also arrange leisure activities such as escape games, laser games, archery, virtual reality, bowling, table tennis, cycling, etc. Golf lovers can also choose between the 7 beautiful golf courses. Lastly, you can always take a hot air balloon ride to have the best view of the beautiful Loire valley.
